The U.S. International Mining Exhibition, organized by the National Mining Association (NMA), is held every four years and is the largest surface and underground mining and equipment exhibition in the world. Since the merger of the American Mining Congress and the National Coal Association to organize the event in 1988, the exhibition has successfully been held nine times.

In 2016, the exhibition covered 74,000 square meters, with 1,917 exhibitors from 37 countries and regions, including North and South America, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. The event used 12 indoor and outdoor exhibition halls at the Las Vegas Convention Center (Central Hall, North Hall, South Hall, and outdoor areas). According to statistics, over 90% of the visitors had purchase intentions, and the number of Chinese exhibitors increased by more than 150% compared to 2012.

Decision-makers from industries such as open-pit mining, underground mining, processing, mine development, mineral exploration, rare metals, refining, and smelting gathered at the event, providing unlimited business opportunities for exhibitors. World-renowned mining equipment manufacturers such as Atlas Copco, Becker Mining, Joy Global, Liebherr, Sandvik, McLanahan, Caterpillar, Dyno Nobel, and others participated in the exhibition.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 edition of the exhibition was postponed to 2021. The event attracted over 1,300 exhibitors from 35 countries, with an exhibition area of over 71,000 square meters and more than 44,000 registered visitors. The exhibition was a great success.
