The Indonesia International Construction and Engineering Machinery, Equipment, and Materials Exhibition is held annually and has successfully completed 24 editions. It is the largest and most professional construction machinery exhibition in Indonesia. The event includes both indoor exhibition areas and large outdoor equipment display zones, providing exhibitors with a professional platform for face-to-face communication of technologies and products while expanding into the Indonesian market.
In 2023, the exhibition covered an area of 13,357 square meters, with 334 companies and manufacturers from 31 countries and regions participating, including groups from 6 countries and regions. During the event, a total of 9,018 visitors attended the exhibition.
In 2023, as the Indonesian market continues to improve, Chinese engineering equipment, relying on its quality and cost-effectiveness, has gained increasing popularity among overseas customers. On one hand, Chinese exported construction machinery equipment offers significant price advantages, high cost-performance, and excellent service, all of which are key factors in attracting Indonesian clients. On the other hand, infrastructure projects under the "Belt and Road" initiative, such as the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway, are expected to bring a large number of orders to Chinese construction machinery companies.
On August 26, 2019, Indonesian President Joko Widodo officially announced the country's capital relocation plan, moving the capital from Jakarta, located on Java Island, to East Kalimantan Province, 1,400 kilometers away. Borneo Island, located in central Indonesia, will allow for more balanced development between the eastern and western regions. The new capital will feature modern urban characteristics, including being a "green city" and a "smart city."
